Dermal Fillers

Dermal Fillers favored by most practitioners consist of cross-linked hyaluronic acid, a substance that is also naturally produced by our bodies. This makes is a safe and powerful tool to contour, volumise and enhance the aesthetic proportions of the face. Dermal fillers are used to treat static wrinkles which are caused by gravity, the loss of fat and collagen due to aging, and the loss of the skin’s elasticity; replacing lost volume and re-plumping the tissue. Generally two types of fillers are used: a deeper injection of thicker filler to replace lost volume such as in the cheekbone area, or a thinner filler to fill in finer lines around the mouth area.
