Pigmentation or Freckles Treatment
In the treatment of pigmentation, spots and blemishes, the Q-Switched Nd:Yag laser enters the top layers of skin and is absorbed selectively by any pigment. The absorption of this high-intensity pulsed energy causes the pigment to break down into smaller fragments which are easily removed by the body’s immune system naturally.
Skin Toning
Whereas in its ‘soft laser peel’ or ‘genesis mode’, the Q-Switched Nd:Yag laser can be adjusted to treat deeper into the skin layers to stimulate collagen production. This helps to improve appearance of fine lines and work to tigthen and firm the skin. The treatment also works to gently exfoliate the superficial layer of skin by removing dead skin cells, excess oil and bacteria to reveal brighter, clearer and more youthful-looking skin.
Carbon Laser Treatment aka “China Doll Facial”
Popularly known as the “China Doll Facial” as it aims to achieve porcelain and clear-looking skin, the Carbon Laser Treatment combines the use of a medical grade carbon gel with that of a low-energy laser.
How does it work?
The carbon layer works to bind to the debris in the pores of the skin and clings onto the outermost layer of skin. When Q-Switched Nd:Yag laser is emitted, it is immediately attracted to the carbon. As the laser pulses, the carbon is gently “blasted” away, breaking up the impurities in pores, and eliminating excessive oil and bacteria.
This treatment uses “soft laser peel” mode to exfoliate the skin and stimulates both the collagen and elastin production to further strengthen the structure of skin.

Soft Laser Peel / Toning for overall skin rejuvenation
It is a relatively quick treatment that takes under 30 minutes from start to finish as it does not require the use of any anaesthetic (numbing) cream. The short bursts of energy produced by the laser under this soft toning mode is very low. Therefore, it is very tolerable and comfortable; it feels like tiny little pinches as the laser is emitted but dissipates quickly.
Q-Switched Mode for pigmentation
Depending on the size of the pigmentation and the number of spots, we will adjust the treatment focal area of the laser. It may feel like a small elastic band snap as the laser is emitted. It is also tolerable and comfortable to have without the need of any numbing agent.
Soft Laser Peel / Toning for overall skin rejuvenation
Generally, there is no downtime after a toning session. You can resume your regular daily activities with no problems.
Q-Switched Mode for pigmentation
The pigmentation spots will darken over the next several days and begin to scab. Please refrain from picking the scabs and allow it to naturally shed away so that the fresh skin underneath has enough time to recover. We would highly recommend that you use adequate sun protection to protect the new skin.
